Program Description

Please join us at an upcoming community meeting on Tuesday, July 2, 2024, from 5:30 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. at the Braemar Sewer Lift Station, located at 404 Alan Road. This will be an open house format to learn more about the project, view construction plans, and meet City staff and project contractors. Spanish translation will be provided.

Starting in summer 2024, the City will begin rehabilitating the Braemar Sewer Lift Station located at the corner of Cliff Drive and Alan Road (404 Alan Road). The City has contracted with Cushman Contracting Corporation to complete this project, which will rehabilitate the City’s largest and most critical sewer lift station. Construction will be completed in two phases and is anticipated to be completed in summer 2025. Construction hours are Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Hours are subject to change due to weather or any unforeseen complications. We appreciate your patience and understanding during construction.

Background Info: Braemar Sewer Lift Station was originally built in 1962 and provides City residents with safe, reliable, and cost-effective sewer services. It is located adjacent to Arroyo Burro Creek and serves parts of the Campanil and Alan Road neighborhoods, as well as Arroyo Burro Beach County Park.

Project Overview: The project will rehabilitate all internal components of the existing sewage pump facility, including its mechanical and electrical systems, and will protect the facility against large flood events, ensuring continued performance for years to come.
