Program Description
Learn about traditional Zapotec weaving practices and meet the lead artists on Saturday, January 10, at the Santa Barbara Farmer’s Market. Artists will share information about traditional art-making techniques, symbolism, and materials, including rug weaving and natural dyes. The showcased methods will serve as inspiration for an upcoming public art installation as part of the Bloomberg Asphalt Art Initiative.
