Program Description

Starting November 12, the City of Santa Barbara will accept proposals from eligible applicants for the Fiscal Years 2026 and 2027 Human Services Grant Funding and Fiscal Year 2026 Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Programs.

The City of Santa Barbara receives an annual allocation of Community Development Block Grant funds from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). The funds are made available to the City to undertake specific eligible projects and programs that develop a viable urban community by providing decent housing and a suitable living environment.

Human Services and CDBG funds are to be used for programs that principally benefit low to moderate-income persons. 

In order to submit an application, a representative of each potential applicant organization is required to attend this workshop in its entirety. Attendees of this workshop must be staff that are directly involved in preparing grant submissions.
