Program Description

The Children’s Fiesta Parade, hosted by Santa Barbara Parks and Recreation, is a favorite event during the week-long Old Spanish Days Fiesta Celebration. In 2024, the parade is celebrating its 92nd year! Each year has brought new families and youth groups together alongside others who have proudly participated in the Children’s Fiesta Parade for generations.

Parents, families, and friends create and decorate their own floats, carts, and wagons to join this foot-powered parade. Participants typically dress in colorful Spanish and Mexican costumes, often bringing chickens, goats, dogs, and other small animals to add to the fun.

Parade Route: The parade begins near the corner of Cabrillo Boulevard and Garden Street, and ends near Cabrillo Boulevard and Calle Puerto Vallarta.
