 inating the use of pesticides in public areas. The IPM Advisory Committee

 undOn January 26, 2004, the City Council adopted the Integrated Pest Manag
 ement (IPM) Strategy to implement and monitor the IPM policy. This documen
 t details the mission & purpose, roles and responsibilities, and tiers
  of pesticides.On July 21, 2004, the City Council adopted Resolution No. 0
 4-059 establishing an Integrated Pest Management Advisory Committee. The r
 esolution outlines the role and authority of the committee.On February 14,
  2006, the City Council adopted the Pesticide Hazard and Exposure Reductio
 n (PHAER) Zone Model for the City of Santa Barbara. This report designates
  which tiers of pesticides can be used in City parks, buildings, parking l
 ots, the Waterfront, the Airport, and the Golf Course.
